Elevator maintenance is divided into 3 categories:
Class A elevator
It consists of 3 to 8 floors and a VVF control unit, i.e. cruise control or speed regulator, and automatic or manual doors.
Class B elevator
It consists of 6 to 8 floors and a two-speed control unit for automatic or manual doors.
Class C elevator
It consists of 3 to 5 floors and a two-speed manual door control unit.
